On a1 "Existing in the dreams of a flower" a modulated chord, driven by a bouncy bass line takes you to a journey that makes you feel like passing a wide meadow, surrounded with sounds coming out of a nearby tropical rainforest - a deep, euphoric track, surely one that works the dance floor. POZNAŃSKI CZERWIEC 1956

W dniach 28 i 29 czerwca 1956 roku na fali protestów politycznych i postulatów płacowych w Poznaniu doszło do walk pomiędzy strajkującymi robotnikami a milicją i służbą bezpieczeństwa. Pokojowa manifestacja robotników z zakładów Cegielskiego przerodziła się w protest, który objął całe miasto. Zajmowano gmachy publiczne, zdobyto więzienie, zniszczono maszyny zagłuszające Radio Wolna Europa, podjęto próbę opanowania siedziby Wojewódzkiego UBP, gdzie najpierw obrońcy, a później atakujący użyli broni. Do pacyfikacji miasta skierowano ponad 10 tys. żołnierzy. Siły te prowadziły walki uliczne z grupami cywilów, przeważnie młodymi wiekiem. W trakcie wydarzeń czerwcowych zginęło co najmniej 58 osób, a ok. 600 zostało rannych.

"The original film had a soundtrack compiled of various classical music compositions. But what can be more appropriate to the constructivist spirit of Soviet time than the retro-futurism of St. Petersburg's noise scene classics? The Vetrophonia duet consisting of Nickolay Soudnick (ZGA) and Alexander Lebedev-Frontov (Linija Mass, Stalnoy Pakt, Veprisuicida, etc.) solved this task with enthusiasm. During 2005 while working in the ZGA studio they laboriously collected samples, recorded the parts of electronic and acoustic instruments and composed collages for each specific scene of the film. The result turned out to be beyond all praise. The DVD-R with the movie has an option of turning on English subtitles, comes with a booklet containing an article about the shooting process and is packed in a special cardboard sleeve."

Miła niespodzianka dla fanów włoskiego DER FEUERKREINER. Zespół wydał nowy box w skład którego wchodz: "S/T" z 2002 r., "La 'Nvidia" z 2004 r. i DVD z 2005 r. Wprawdzie to nic nowego, ale materiał solidny i ładnie wydany. Jedynym problemem jest fakt, że płyta jest limitowana do 66 kopii. Trzeba się więc spieszyć. Nowy materiał DER FEUERKREINER będzie nosić tytuł "Unsere Zeit" i ma się ukazać nakładem belgijskiej Neuropa Records.

"Steinklang is proud to announce the imminent release of the 4th ASMOROD CD: "Hysope"; a fascinating introspective deep ambient work that distinguished itself from the mass of uniformized dark ambient releases. Niiko (now the only member of ASMOROD) used the word Hysope (French word for Hyssop) as a symbolism of spiritual purification. In ancient times, Hyssop was used for the cleansing of lepers (Leprosy may represent sin... but lepers were not necessarily sinful) and used for cleaning sacred places. "Prison Poems" is a conceptual work about the Irish civil-rights movement in the 70ies of the last century. After a long hungerstrike, the young men died, forgotten from the rest of the world. Most songtexts on this album were written by one of these young men who died from hunger. He wrote these poems on toilet-and cigarette-paper with the refill of a biro-pen, hidden inside his body in the years before he died. The sound on this album varies from dark and cold songs á la GalaktHorroe to early SPK-like heavy-electronic tracks. All with hard or subliminal rhythms and psychic analogue frequencies."

With this new recording, OTHILA celebrate again Mother Earth from continent to continent. Sharing, opening, discovering, and respecting are the words to describe this new album. The music, after the much more martial "Yula" 10" is darker and lurking. Eight long pieces for five continents and Atlantis. We can quote some dark ambient feelings here : the very emotive distinction of mighty ritual acts such as Lights in a Fat City or Hybrids with some incursions in the more modern and still filmographic darkness of G.S.Y.B.E or Biosphere. But don't make a mistake about this lines because everything in the world of Othila become more and more personal, dense and misty. This is an ethnic modern play, an another masterpiece from the french scene emerged from the end of the 90's!"

"Being a member of legendary, now defunct german industrial project THOROFON, GENEVIÉVE PASQUIER released her first work as a solo artist in 2003. Her first record, "Virgin thoughts" caused enthusiastic reactions by both listeners and reviewers. The result was mix of electronic/post-industrial music and 80s-minimal-electro with a frigid but soulful voice. These even tempered tracks attracted a german and international fan base. "Soap bubble factory" is GENEVIÉVE'S first album on CD - her previous efforts were vinyl only. All 12 CD tracks have never been released and they explore dark, electronic soundscapes ("Elements", "Mind-whore"), sensuous industrial tunes ("Remember", "Tu es le star") and driving retro-electro-songs ("existance", "soap bubble factory"). the vocals are perfectly balanced between being sung and spoken (in english and french) - and there's even enough space left for a little poem! "Soap bubble factory" is a perfect example of an artist converting their roots into something new. If references are requested then there are certain similarities to cosey fanni tutti, caroline k or mrs. arafna / november növelet. GENEVIÉVE PASQUIER is now a name that should be mentioned along with these musicians."
